Having Fun at the YMCA!

ymcaSo I received an interesting call this week. It was for a survey to get my opinion about a new and improved Sammamish YMCA. They are considering building a brand new, state of the art facility complete with a lap pool and many other bells and whistles. They may even be considering a “family fun pool”.

According to the survey, they are considering a number of locations; across from Skyline High School, near Pine Lake Middle School, Klahanie, Snoqualmie Ridge, and last but not least Issaquah Highlands. Yeah!

A family membership had a proposed cost of $75. If they include the lap and family fun pool - count me in. I would join just for those features - as they are sorely lacking in our wonderful community. but I would also take advantage of the various other classes they intend to offer - such as pilates, yoga, and parent/child activities as well. As far as I am concerned - the idea of a new YMCA is a great idea.
