How’s that for a loaded headline.

Recently, I have been asked what I want to have RedBrickBlog focus on…real estate education or the Issaquah Highlands?

The answer for right now is BOTH.

I need to thank Robbie over at RCG and Caffeinated Software for nominating my blog as one of his favorites covering the Issaquah Highlands. I have just barely started to scratch the surface and I already have a fan. I am flattered. THANKS ROBBIE.

I am drawn to the educational focus because real estate is my passion and I enjoy educating the consumer through the process. It is that passion that I want to harness to catapult me to be the best real estate blogger possible. I am hoping to take that passion and focus it on my community and educating my neighbors and future potential neighbors about all the wonderful things that Issaquah Highlands embodies.

So for now, this blog will cover both topics. That said, I do plan on having significantly more Issaquah Highlands content. And if that weren’t enough, I do have some plans in the future that will allow me to separate relevant content into multiple niche blogs. But for now it is one step at a time.

I pose this question to readers…What do you want to see? I would love to hear your feedback and ideas. Who knows, it might help some of my ideas bubble to the surface even quicker.

I’d love to see it all! I meant no harm by pointing out you were taking on the task of providing both real estate education AND a local blog.

I think I just found a solution that I’m happy with… Check out RCG’s sidepanel to see if you like it!

I really enjoyed the Highlands Retail post, since I keep wondering when they are going to start building it. (Not that Fred Meyer & Costco are far away but…)

Although, I think Larry Cragun still has you beat on the Issaquah restaurant reviews.

Robbie - I agree. Larry Cragun has some great content! I defiinately could learn a thing or two from what he has put together. Don’t count me out yet though - I am a quick learner!

I am about to rec my first RE Lic. I want to know which OS to buy— PC or MAC… I have always had macs & have heard their new system OS X Tiger will run PC thr BootCamp. So the Q is : Which system should I buy for MLS??

    Sal,

The NWMLS recommends IE on Windows. Although that’s the path of least resistance, I’d go with what you like & know. I think an Intel based Mac running Parallels should be able to handle whatever strangeness the NWMLS or your clients throw your way. I’d ask other Mac using realtors for their advice before taken the road less traveled.

Robbie - thanks for chiming in. I have been away on vacation and appriciate you providing some feedback to Sal. Honestly, even if I had been in town to respond, having never used a Mac, I wouldn’t have felt comfortable giving a recomendation. Thanks again for your response.

Sal - good luck. Hope things work out well for you.
